What if...!?
He asked "what if the child don't want that? Don't they have a choice?". This was asked after talking about organic diapers or homeschooling. It was stated quite often towards a topic that was against the norm of society. Before I met Adonis (youngest son) dad, I've been in the process of making more conscious and informed decisions that gives my children better options for their health in all aspects. Working towards living a holistic lifestyle and creating change. At the time I partnered with someone who wasn't very understanding of that route being taken and still isn't today, but thankfully he does his best to work with me. There was always a "but" and questioning to what I've wanted to do which is good in a way. Do question things so you can learn...
Coming back around to the question of "what if the child don't want that? Don't they have a choice?" I'm not understanding why that question usually gets asked when a parent is going against how most are brought up. I could ask the same thing when they're raised as Christian against their will, or made to eat dead meat, or forced to listen to someone tell them what to do 8 hours a day five days a week. Shouldn't they have a choice then??
If you had the choice to start off with a clean slate being mind, body, & spirit would you choose the positive or negative?? Would you choose whole natural foods or toxic foods? Would you choose freedom or enslavement?? I am choosing what is best for my child as the grow in a world full of people who don't question things that have been intentionally made to harm them.
Why should I subject my children to something that's been played out when I have the knowledge, skill, and awareness to show them life outside the box. We are not ordinary people. Therefore I no longer want us to live on ordinary terms. I am in charge of teaching my children and this is part of my teachings.
“Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?” Proverbs 1:20-22 ESV
